International Academic Competitions is pleased to announce the 2024-2025 IHBB Asian Division online regional competition.
Schedule: Online Winter League Regional Tournament – This will run on the Gamma Set of questions. It is thus open to all teams and students throughout Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
History Bowl: January 4, 2025
History Bee: January 5, 2025

Tournament Format:
All History Bowl will be guaranteed to play in at least 5 preliminary round matches. The exact tournament format will be determined after the registration deadline.
All History Bee players will compete in 3 preliminary round matches. Each preliminary round consists of 30 tossup questions. The top students will compete in the playoff rounds. The exact number of students that qualify for playoff rounds will be determined after the registration deadline.
Game Format:
The rules for the Online History Bee and Bowl will remain largely the same as our in-person competition rules. There will be minor changes to the bonuses and lightning rounds. Please see rules sheet for more details.
Costs:
History Bowl:
225 USD per team of 3 or 4 players
175 USD per team of 2 players
125 USD per team of 1 player
History Bee: 35 USD per player
Payments are paid via Flywire. Paying by wire transfer must include an additional payment of 30 USD as stated to cover processing fees.
Awards:
Top three teams and players in each division will receive plaques. All students will receive a digital Certificate of Participation.
Asian Championships Qualification:
The top 2/3 (including ties) of teams and players in each division will qualify for the 2024-25 IAC Asian Championships. Teams that win more than half of their prelim matches will also qualify.

Registration and Payment Deadline: December 21, 2024
Students who cancel their registration for free prior to the registration deadline. Students dropping after the registration deadline owe 100% of their registration fees.
