History Bee and Bowl of Beijing

Tournament Format:
All History Bowl will be guaranteed to play in at least 5 preliminary round matches. The exact tournament format will be determined after the registration deadline.

All History Bee players will compete in 3 preliminary round matches. Each preliminary round consists of 30 tossup questions. The top students will compete in the playoff rounds. The exact number of students that qualify for playoff rounds will be determined after the registration deadline.

Cost:
History Bowl (includes History Bee fees)*
-Team of 3 t0 6 Players: 2600 CNY or 350 USD
-Team of 2 Players: 1800 CNY or 240 USD
-Team of 1 Player: 1300 CNY 0r 175 USD

History Bee ONLY: 450 CNY or 60 USD per player

*Moderator Discount: 450 CNY or 60 USD per moderator

Moderators must be fluent or native in English. Moderators can be a teacher, parent, or student. Please email suopeng@iacompetitions.com to apply for moderator discount.

Registration fees for all tournaments must be paid before the payment deadline. For in-person tournaments, registration fees can be paid in person on the day of the tournament at a 5% surcharge.  

Awards:
In the Bowl, top three teams in a division with 6 or more teams will receive plaques. In the Bee, top three players in each age division will receive medals. All students will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Asian Championships Qualification:
The top 50% (including ties) of teams and players in each division will qualify for the 2025-26 IAC Asian Championships. Teams that win more than half of their prelim matches will also qualify.
